Misadventures of Legend
This skill can only be learned by k’stulaami. Gliding is used to make tests to move under power of the k’stulaami Gliding racial ability (p. 139).
Gliding: The character can glide through the air after leaping from a position higher than his body height. He can perform his movement for the round in a glide rather than walking. Without any further tests being made, the character can glide 1 hex horizontally for every hex of downward movement. Learning the Gliding skill (p. 228) can increase the character’s ability to glide under certain circumstances. A successful Gliding (5) Test allows the character to glide 1 hex horizontally per Result Level achieved (starting with Average) for every hex moved downward. The gamemaster modifies the Difficulty Number for the Gliding Test according to wind speeds. Very strong wind can hamper the character’s aerial maneuvers. Just as well, not enough wind disrupts the character’s lift, granting only the most basic gliding movement. In very strong winds, though, the gamemaster may allow a Gliding Test to remain stationary, although this prohibits most other movement, for example combat, as the character has to fully focus on maintaining his position. Gliding can be combined with movement combat options, but not with talents that alter movement, such as Sprint or Gliding Stride.
